HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Take a walk on the wild side and check out some of Houston's weirdest homes while helping out Harvey victims at the same time.

It's called the Weird Homes Tour, a self-paced and self-driving tour from 10-6 on October 7th.

The homes on tour will be those of artists, collectors of oddities and rare art collectors. To give you an idea of what you will find on the tour, one home, the Hippolotofus Home has more than 2000 hippos, including Sue Shefman's well-known hippo art-car.

Some of the other homes on the tour include Selia Qynn's Secret Garden whose backyard oasis is tucked away on three-quarters of an acre in Spring Branch and the art studio of Sharon Kopriva, who is known for creating mummy like haunting sculptural pieces.

The tour will give back by donating a portion of all ticket sales to a local affordable housing charity, New Hope Housing.

Tickets are $30 to see all but one of the homes, spread across different neighborhoods in Houston, and $50 to unlock access to the VIP home of Lester Marks and attend the VIP party from 6 - 9 p.m.
