Severe storms cancel many Houston area events

The rain and wet conditions around Houston cancel many events this weekend.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- This weekend storms have prompted a number of events to be postponed or cancelled.

Here's a list of some the events:

1. City of Katy has postponed "A Katy Old-Fashioned Christmas Festival" to Saturday December 17th. It will take place from 10 am to 5 pm. The event includes kids activities, food truck and snow!

2. The Dynamo has rescheduld Diesel's Holiday Bash to next Saturday, December 10th from 12 to 3. The event includes photos with Santa Diesel and cookie decorating.

3. The Touchdown Tour event in Moody Park has been rescheduled to Saturday December 17th from 10 am to 2 pm.

4. The Pasadena Parade has been postponed unit Saturday December 10th at 7pm.

5. The Cigna Sunday Streets Houston on West 43rd has also been cancelled. Cigna Sunday Streets is an initiative to promote a healthy lifestyle. Sunday Streets Houston opens a street normally reserved for cars to allow for physical activity.

6. City Emergency Management Officials have cancelled the Snowfest Parade in Missouri City.

7. The City of Fulshear and the Fulshear Area Chamber of Commerce have rescheduled the Holly Jolly Christmas 2016 to Saturday, December 17.

8. The Pearland Christmas Parade has been cancelled.

9. League City's Holiday in the Park Grand Night Parade set for 6pm and Pet Parade set for tomorrow are canceled.
