Based on those metrics, Honolulu, Hawaii was ranked to be the most overpriced city in the U.S., with a median family income of $82,600 and only 35.3 percent affordable housing at that median income. Additionally, your typical Honolulu resident pays 55.3 percent more for groceries and 77.8 percent more for utilities compared to average U.S. housing/living costs.
