North Texas tornado victims move into mansion
A kind gift for people in need in north Texas.

COLEYVILLE, TX (KTRK) -- Two families displaced by the deadly tornadoes that broke out in north Texas last month now have a safe place to stay thanks to the generosity of a Texas real estate investor.

Their temporary homes, however, aren't what you would expect.

Catherine Jenkins and her daughter Amber are just one of the families now living large in a $1 million mansion in Colleyville.

Real estate investor Ron Sturgeon decided to offer two of his mansion properties to storm victims.

The Jenkins will be able to stay in the 7,000 square-foot mansion for the next three months, at a price of just $1 a month.

"This means that not only do Amber and I get to have an adventure in this beautiful mansion and feel safe, but that I can save money so that we can get maybe a more permanent place for her," Catherine Jenkins says.
