SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- A high school football player injured on the field received a special delivery on Tuesday to help him on his road to recovery.
Korey McNeal suffered a paralyzing injury earlier this month as he helped his team Spring High win a playoff game. The teen has since been hospitalized at Memorial Hermann TIRR.
On Tuesday, Gallery Furniture helped make his return home a little be easier by delivering an adjustable TempurPedic bed. The store also donated a brand new sofa, loveseat and tables for the family's living room, a new dining room table that will accommodate Korey's wheelchair.
"He didn't want to come home to a hospital bed so for him to get this type of bed that is equivalent to a hospital bed he'll be really excited," Angela Shepherd, the teen's mother said.
The teen got to see his new bed and furniture during a Skype call while the delivery was being made.
