Are you So Houston?
Social media trend allows everyone to feel downright neighborly

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- At the Breakfast Klub in Midtown, it's as easy to find love for Houston as there is love for the chicken and waffles.

"It makes me proud," said Houstonian Ladonna Phillips. "I see more 'I'm so Houston' than I see 'I'm so this area or that area.' People are representing the whole city instead of just parts of it."

Phillips doesn't know what started the latest hash tag craze #ImSoHouston. It's been around for a while but only recently began trending in the social media world.

People like Michael Slater reminiscing about their childhood in H-town.

"I'm so Houston I can remember when the Rice Loft apartments were Southern Pacific sales office," he said.

Check out these 25 ways to tell you're So Houston:

The 'I'm so Houston' tweets vary from our very own Marvin Zindler to the oh-so-popular and oh-so-missed Astroworld!

Felicia January recalled, "Roll down the hill at Astroworld all the way to the parking lot."

Even Houston Mayor Annise Parker chimed in saying, in part, "I'm so Houston it's in my DNA. Born and raised, I've been working for the city for over 16 years."

It's a mix of memories and anecdotal thoughts that have somehow made the fourth largest city in the country feel more like a small community where everyone fits in.
