Local veteran celebrates 100th Birthday with big bash in Pasadena

PASADENA, TX (KTRK) -- We want to wish a very happy 100th birthday to Bernie Malloy!

More than a 100 friends and family members helped the World War II veteran celebrate the milestone at Pappa Yolk's Grill in Pasadena. The restaurant usually closes after lunch. But it opened tonight just for the party.

Malloy's children say he's in great health. Malloy says his secret to a long life is having a sense of humor.
