HOUSTON (KTRK) -- It's music with a purpose.

"This is what they call a non-clinical form of therapy," Paul Delacerda said.

Delecerda is a wounded warrior who had made it his mission to help others. He added, "We're still losing veterans every day to suicide. One of our main goals here at Rock 4 Recovery is to not lose any more veterans and have them here with us. This is the crisis area too."

Here at Rock 4 Recovery veterans can find a distraction to their pain, through music. Whether learning to play or getting to see one of their artists, music is therapy here.

"All these artists on these walls have supported this program," said Delecerda.

The home for the program is in jeopardy. The owner died and now the new owner wants to sell. Delacerda says he has to come up with money quickly to even stay open this month.

"I've got until the 15th to pay the remainder of my rent which on my GoFundMe we're just $4,000 shy of our goal. We're $4,000 shy of our goal. If we can pay that by the 15th we stay in the building. But if not we have 30 days to get out," he said.

The program has also fed thousands of veterans on Thanksgiving Day and given some a place to stay while in transition.
