JASPER, TX (KTRK) -- A very special little girl has a big wish for her birthday this year.

Ali Najera of Jasper, Texas suffers from an incurable disease called neuroaxonal dystrophy. It's a rare condition that impacts the neurological system. Ali, 9, recently lost control of her legs and knows this could be her last birthday.

When she asked what she wanted for her birthday this year, Ali said one thing: Birthday cards. Her mom, Tianna Morgan, then started a Facebook page to make her wish come true. The response has been overwhelming.

"I really wasn't expecting it to go as viral as it has," Morgan told ABC affiliate KTRE. "Someone posted it on reddit.com and that's just taken it. We've been getting messages from people in Finland, Israel, Great Britain, England, all over the place."

Ali has received about 230 cards so far. Her mother is hoping to eventually get her a birthday care from every state and multiple countries.

"We're going to live each day to the fullest with her. We're going to make sure she can do as much as she can do," Morgan said.
