HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Check out some of the fun, free things to do around Houston this weekend, including several Earth Day-related events:

Earth Day at the Arboretum

Join the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center for a fun, family-friendly morning of outdoor activities and nature crafts. The event will include nature hikes, chemistry demonstrations, newspaper flower pot making and more. The event runs from 10 a.m. until noon.

Autism awareness event at Pumpd

PartnERS Emergency Center, Pumpd Nutrition & Cy-Fair Fire Department (Station 6) will be hosting a community event to increase awareness about autism. The event will include sensory-friendly games, expert speakers, a fitness boot camp, fire truck tours and more.

Free shredding event at Office Depot

Until April 29, Office Depot will shred up to five pounds of documents per person at no charge in-store. Click here to print out the coupon.
