Outdoor art installation begins today at Discovery Green park

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Famed Mexican artist, Jorge Marin's 'Wings of the City' exhibit will be on display this fall and winter at Discovery Green Park in Downtown Houston.

The outdoor art exhibit consists of nine bronze winged sculptures, the likes of which have been presented in more than 200 exhibits around the world, and seen by more than a million people.

According to the Discovery Green website, "The allegorical and fantastic creatures portray perfection of the human body, and spark dialogue around themes of desire, will and determination with the body and mind."

There's even a platform for you to climb, which takes you close to one of the sculptures for an interactive experience.

Installation begins this morning at 10am. The artwork will be on display through early February.
