HOUSTON -- Segment 1 - Human trafficking is a growing crime in the Houston area. Experts say it affects mostly women and girls, but boys are also targeted. 26-percent of victims are children who are forced into it through fake promises and non-existent job offers. The Houston Chapter of the Links, Inc. and the Houston Area Urban League are joining forces to raise awareness about this disturbing federal crime with a community discussion on the subject on April 15th at HAUL headquarters. Studio guest is the moderator of the program, Judge Maria Jackson of the 339th State District Court in Houston, Harris County.
