Conroe city council to tidy up building code ordinance

CONROE, TX -- Conroe City Council members will clean up a city ordinance to clarify building code violations after the council approved fines for unlicensed contractors in May.

According to Nancy Mikeska, assistant director of community development, the amendment will apply to both residential and commercial permits and inspection fees.

Those fines became effective Aug. 1.
