Chevron Houston Marathon 80 percent full
The Chevron Houston Marathon is nearing capacity.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- If you were still on the fence about whether or not to pound 26.2 miles of pavement this coming January, you're running out of time to decide. The Chevron Houston Marathon is already 80 percent full.

The full marathon, which is capped at 13,500 participants, will cost $150 in 2018. By race day, marathon participants must be 12 years old.

The Aramco Half Marathon sold out in early June, but that race's Run For a Reason program is still open. Participants must commit to raising at least $500 to benefit one of the marathon committee's partner charities, but they will be guaranteed entry into the full or half marathon.
