Boy fulfills wish to be Houston deputy for day

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A Precinct 5 Deputy Constable was at a pizza restaurant when he saw a 12-year-old boy with a cowboy hat and a plastic badge on his shirt.

Isaac Oviedo's mother said he always wanted to be a policeman and that he would go everywhere with his badge trying to help people.

The Pct. 5 Constable's office is making Isaac's dreams come true, making him a deputy for the day.

He was sworn in on Monday at 10 a.m. with a uniform and even got to shadow deputies around the station for a few hours.
