A young woman's photo of her friend comparing her legs to those of a Topshop mannequin's has sparked an Internet outrage questioning the body image message the retailer is sending to its shoppers.

Becky Hopper was shopping with a friend at a Topshop store in the United Kingdom Tuesday evening when she stopped to take a photo of her friend standing next to one of the store's mannequins, focusing in on how thin the mannequin's legs look compared to her friend's.

Hopper noted that her friend is a size 8/10, which translates to a size 4/6 in the United States.

The tweet has been retweeted and favorited thousands of times, with many people commenting that Topshop is sending an irresponsible message about ideal body image to its often young female clientele.

Hopper says she Topshop has not contacted her about her tweet or the reaction.

ABC reached out to Topshop for comment but has yet to receive a response.
