Get your holiday shopping done for you
Your last-minute shopping can be done for you and delivered to you!

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Christmas is just a couple of days away and if you have more errands to run or shopping to do, we can help you stay away from traffic.

Several apps, websites and local business can help you take care of your grocery shopping, gift-buying, and even decorating, without leaving your home.

The new app Favor will deliver just about anything, from clothing to toys to electronics, right to your doorstep.

"It's literally your personal delivery assistant," Sean Lamont of Favor explains.

The app allows you to purchase items, and have a Favor runner pick up and deliver the item to you. Average delivery time is 37 minutes in the Houston area. The app charges a $5 fee, plus 5% of the purchase price, and a suggested tip.

Small businesses are also helping shoppers, by offering complimentary delivery during the holiday season.

"It's a very competitive market out there and people are into service," Minnie M. Baird of Baird & Baird explained.

Baird & Baird creates luxury exotic skin handbags that can be delivered within four hours.

"If you've been driving around, the holiday traffic is already so bad, so we just want to make it easier for people to purchase," Hallie Daugherty of Baird & Baird explained.

Other businesses like Cacao & Cardamom gourmet chocolates in the Galleria offer curbside service to keep customers from fighting for a parking space.

"So if they just want to drive up call us up, we can bring the chocolates out to them, we have a register that's ready available to them, and we can do the transaction right outside," Annie Rupani, owner of Cacao & Cardamom explains.

If you need help with feeding holiday guests, Zifty.com can deliver fully-cooked meals, and the Instacart app can do the grocery shopping for you.
