Super moon
The first night of the New Year started with a Super Moon.

You may have missed the awesome supermoon while you were sleeping.

NASA is calling it the "biggest and brightest" one for the entire year.

If you noticed the difference when looking up last night that's because the moon was 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than the last super moon in July.

Don't worry if you missed it. There will be another supermoon Jan. 31.
