MONTGOMERY, AL (KTRK) -- A pastor in Montgomery, Alabama has been pulled from the pulpit following a disturbing confession, WSFA-TV reports.

Pastor Juan Demetrius McFarland of the Shiloh Baptist Church admitted during a recent sermon that he'd been sleeping with several female church members. Worse yet, McFarland did not tell those sexual partners that he has full-blown AIDS.

His disease is a secret McFarland has kept from church leaders since 2003, AL.com reports. Now, at least one woman who says she slept with the pastor is getting tested for HIV.

In addition to McFarland's AIDS reveal, the pastor also admitted to mishandling church funds and using drugs.

"I believe that he should be put on trial," a church member told local media. "Go to court and let the judge decide if he should go to jail or not."

The church's website describes McFarland as "a man of vision and mission; a man of passion, prayer and purpose; a man whose life is centered in Jesus Christ."

At this time, no crimes have been filed against McFarland.
