Police: Man on the run after choking mom, 2 children
Houston police say Shadrick Turner put his hands around the throats of a toddler, another child and their mother.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Charges were dismissed against a man accused of choking a woman and her two children, including a toddler, back in 2017.

The video above is from a previous report.

Investigators said Shadrick Turner choked a 9-month-old and the baby's mother at a home in the 10000 block of Hammerly Boulevard in August 2017.

When another child tried to intervene, police said Turner put his hands around the child's throat.

Turner was charged with injury to a child and assault on a family member. Those charges were dismissed because the Harris County District Attorney's Office couldn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt despite there being probable cause.
