Girl recounts frightening encounter with suspect in Conroe attempted abduction
CONROE, Texas (KTRK) -- While investigators continue their search for a man they say attacked a female Conroe High School student at a bus stop yesterday, we're hearing about a scary encounter a 14-year-old girl said she had with the same man.
Deputies in Montgomery County said two weeks ago, this teen was approached by the same suspect about a mile and a half away from yesterday's bus attack.
The girl told Eyewitness News that she was walking to a neighbor's house on a Sunday afternoon when he approached her, saying he was having car trouble.
Her neighbor was expecting her, so their gate was unlocked and she was able to go inside their gate and close it.

But the suspect continued to ask her questions that seemed off, the teen said.
"He put his hands on his head and he said, 'Ugghh, I need... I need help, please. I'll give you 20 bucks. I need help, please,' and so that's when I just gave him another weird look and started walking away again," she said. "Once he realized I wasn't going to help him, he sprinted to his car and got out of there fast."
Deputies are warning parents about leaving their kids alone at the bus stop after multiple students witnessed the Conroe High School student being attacked on Tuesday.
Around 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, the female student claims the suspect attacked her from behind while she was waiting for the bus at Brook Hollow Drive and Glen Forest Drive.
She told Conroe ISD police that the man, believed to be a black male between the ages of 30 to 40 years old, said something to her.

When she began yelling "no," the student said the man threw her to the ground.
The student, who attends classes at Conroe High School, told police she fought back, and the man left the area in a beige 4-door sedan.
The school district says the students who witnessed the attack dialed 911 to get help.
The sheriff's department is increasing patrols in the area and parents are being advised to call authorities if they see anything suspicious.

Conroe ISD sent the following letter home to parents last night:
Dear Parents/Guardians:This morning, Conroe ISD Police and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) were made aware of an incident that took place at the bus stop at the corner of Brook Hollow Drive and Glen Forest Drive on the east side of I-45 near FM 1488. A female student was reportedly waiting for her bus at approximately 5:50 a.m. this morning when she was approached from behind by a black male believed to be 30-40 years old. The student reported that the man said something to her and upon yelling no in response, she was thrown to the ground. The student fought back and the man left the area in a beige 4-door sedan. Students approaching the stop observed the incident and called 911.
Conroe ISD Police is investigating the incident, and officers are actively patrolling the area. Students
- Don't talk to strangers.
- Try to stay with a buddy.
- If someone attempts to grab you, scream, yell, run, or make noise to alert bystanders and report it to an adult immediately.
- Run to your house or a neighbor's house that you know.
- If there is a police officer in the area, tell the officer what has happened.
- Immediately report an incident to the local law enforcement (911).
Families
- If you see suspicious activity, try to observe and report the license plate numbers and a description of the vehicle and person.
