Beloved veterinarian murdered; 2 jailed, including victim's stepson

BURLINGTON, CO (KTRK) -- Two men are in custody following the death of a well-known veterinarian in Colorado. One of the suspects is the woman's stepson.

Cindy Eason, a beloved veterinarian, was found murdered inside her Burlington home Friday.

Police say a tip quickly led to the search and capture of her stepson, Dylan Eason and his friend Isaiah Churchill.

Friends say reeling in that tragedy is Cindy's husband and Dylan's father, Jon Eason.

Out of town for work when the murder took place, Jon wrote on Facebook he is living in a private hell because he could not protect his wife when she needed him most.

Both Dylan Eason and Isaiah Churchwell are being held here at the Kit Carson County Jail without bond. They are facing charges for first-degree murder, burglary, aggravated robbery and theft.
