Tourists kill Bahamas' swimming pigs by feeding them alcohol

BAHAMAS (KTRK) -- Investigations are underway to determine what killed the famous swimming pigs in the Bahamas.

Reports surfaced over the weekend that more than a half a dozen pigs reportedly died after tourists visiting the islands allegedly fed them alcohol.

According to officials at the Bahamas Humane Society (BHS) the pigs were thrown into the sea after being found dead on Sunday.

It is still unclear if the deaths were accidental or if the pigs were intentionally poisoned.
