This golden retriever has gone viral for her very unusual bedtime routine

If you are a pet owner, I'm sure you're constantly surprised by the quirky things your animal does. From choosing to hide in closets (is that just my dog?) to sitting like humans, pets can be downright hilarious. Kim Downie, owner of an adorable golden retriever, would certainly agree. Her dog, Mojito, has gotten into the funny habit of selecting one special toy each night to take to bed.

Mojito chooses a single toy to carry all the way upstairs before settling into bed for the night. Downie told Babble, "I would say her routine started consistently about one and a half years ago," which of course helped to inspire her husband to start an Instagram page to document the silliness.

The proud doggy-mama noted, "One day my husband decided to make Mojito an Instagram profile just to joke with me. Within a few days she had about 100 followers, we thought that was a lot. People started saying they enjoyed seeing her life so we began posting more. We never would have thought it would grow to more than 60,000!"

As someone who constantly takes photos of my own handsome golden retriever, I can definitely see how this became a bit of a hobby for the couple. Plus, who wouldn't want to "like" photos of Mojito carrying around funny objects? I know I sure do!

Not only does Mojito bring an extra bit of joy to the Internet, but she also recently finished training to become a therapy dog. Downie said, "She is very social and has a tendency to know who could use a little extra love, even if it's a stranger. Mojito regularly visits a nursing home in Westlake, Ohio. The patients say that she provides companionship and love."

How sweet! However, it's the fact that when she isn't spreading love all around Ohio, she's gearing up for bedtime with her toys that makes her Instagram followers giggle. I mean look at how she's smothering her poor cat brother - I'm quite surprised he stands for this to be honest.

I asked Downie what her favorite bedtime moments with Mojito were and she happily noted, "I love when she carries huge toys to bed. She looks so silly trying to carry them. Once she brought a pillow with her. Picture it on the bed!"

At the end of the day, we should all just hope to love something as much as this dog loves her stuffed animals at bedtime.
