HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Members of a Northwest Houston community are searching for a service dog they say was stolen from a homeless man.
Indigo Andrews tells Eyewitness News he has taken great care of his service dog, Shadow, for the last four years. Andrews was even paying for all of the dog's shots.
He said a few days ago, someone stole the dog from him at Sommerall Rd near Hwy 529 and Hwy 6.
"He's better off with me," Andrews said. "I have no way to get up sometimes, and he's the only one that can help me to get up. He's a very special animal."
If you have any information that could help find Shadow, contact Crossroads Animal Clinic at 281-859-3050.
