Puppy rescued after stuck in tar
An animal welfare group in Northern India spent four hours pulling a 5-month-old dog from a solidified pool of warm tar that spilled at a construction site.

UDAIPUR, India -- An animal welfare group in Northern India spent four hours pulling a 5-month-old dog from a solidified pool of warm tar that spilled at a construction site.

Rescue crews used vegetable oil to loosen the tar since kerosene would have been too harsh on its skin.

One month later, the puppy is clean, happy and healthy.
