U.S. Customs agents find live snakes packed inside box at JFK Airport

NEW YORK, New York -- It's not exactly snakes on a plane, but U.S. customs agents got a slithery surprise at JFK International Airport.[br /][br /]Agents seized five live king cobras during an inspection at the airport's mail facility.[br /][Ads /][br /][img SRC="http://cdn.abclocal.go.com/content/wabc/images/cms/071117-wabc-snakesxray-img.jpg" ALIGN="" /][br /][br /]The snakes were sent from Hong Kong in a round container packed in a box on June 29th.[br /][br /][img SRC="http://cdn.abclocal.go.com/content/wabc/images/cms/071117-wabc-snakesincontainer-img.jpg" ALIGN="" /][br /][br /]The package also contained three geckos.[br /][Ads /][br /]"Our CBP officers perform numerous daily tasks to protect the United States from potential dangers.
