Winnie Curry and Nanook
KTRK-KTRK

This is the perfect time of year for outdoor activities for the entire family.

This weekend is going to be another gorgeous one to spend some time outside with your furry friends.

Both Friday and Saturday, join Barrio Dogs at the East End Street Fest.

Who knows, you might just meet a new four-legged friend to take home with you!

Nanook, Baby Winnie, hubby Carl & I will be at the CAP Howl-O-Ween Dog Walk, Costume Contest and Pet Expo this Saturday at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch.

All the fun begins at 8am.

Here's a picture of Nanook in last year's Halloween costume. She was a Houston Texans cheerleader.

We're working on another fun costume for this year. In fact, I think Baby Winnie and Nanook are going to wear coordinating costumes. You'll have to wait to see the cute pictures!

Also on Saturday out in Katy is the DREAM Dachshund Rescue and No Label Brewing Company's Adoption Awareness and Beer Tasting Event.

You can bring kids and even your leashed dogs to taste some tasty brew from noon to 3pm.

The rescue group has about 75 dachshunds available for adoption. A few of them will be at the event for you to meet.

Check out the event's flyer for more information.

If you are up in the Cypress area, Bridgeland's Howl-O-Ween Fest on Saturday is sure to be a fun time for the whole family.

And in the Montrose area, the first annual Montrose Halloween Pup Crawl will take place at Cherryhurst Park on Saturday from 3-6pm. For more information, visit their Facebook page
