Skip the glasses for dogs during the eclipse

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- When preparing for today's solar eclipse, you might want to skip giving glasses to your four-legged friends.

Many people are hoping to put their dogs in the protective glasses when taking them out into the sun during the eclipse.

The dogs will likely just eat them, like Winston did in the video.

One animal hospital claims dogs will be fine during the eclipse because they have deeper set eye sockets and thicker brows, which will better protect their eyes.

Still, others say it just might not be worth the risk.

If you want to completely protect your pet during today's eclipse, the best bet is just to keep them inside until it is over.
