Worker killed by falling rig equipment in east Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police are investigating after a worker was fatally crushed Tuesday morning by rigging equipment in east Houston.

The victim, 58, was loading a trailer in the 5500 block of Clinton when the equipment fell on his abdomen and he collapsed, police said. He died at the scene.

The victim's identity has not yet been released.

No other details were immediately available.
