Woman's body found near Cleveland

CLEVELAND, TX (KTRK) -- A woman's body was found in Liberty County yesterday, and now authorities are trying to identify who she was.

Law enforcement located the remains about a quarter-mile off of State Highway 105 near the west side of the bypass outside Cleveland.

Texas EquuSearch volunteers had planned to search that area for a Splendora woman who went missing on December 18.

Law enforcement has not confirmed if the remains are in fact, hers.
