Woman killed, man injured after car strikes them in Friendswood
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police say a woman is dead and a man is fighting for his life after the two were struck by a car in Friendswood.
The accident happened just before 7pm Wednesday in the 3500 block of FM 528. According to the police, the duo was trying to cross the street to attend an event at Brookside Intermediate School and were struck by a vehicle driving westbound.
The woman died at the scene and the man was transported to Clear Lake Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver stayed on scene and consented to a blood draw. No charges have been filed at this time.
