Woman struck and killed by vehicle in North Harris County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Investigators are looking for the driver of a vehicle connected to a fatal hit and run in north Harris County near Eastex Freeway.

Deputies say a neighbor was driving and spotted the body of a woman in a ditch in the 4800 block of Hopper Rd. just before 7:45 a.m.

Investigators say Jannette Vickery, 43, was walking along Hopper when she was hit by a truck, then the driver took off.

Investigators believe that the suspect was driving a white Ford F-150 A 1997 to 2003 model, with damage to the right front end of the truck.
