Woman fends off bra strangler using ceramic chicken

LEXINGTON, KY (KTRK) -- A 61-year-old woman is bruised but still alive after she was attacked by a woman who tried to strangle her with her bra.

Patricia Leece of Lexington, Kentucky tells WKYT-TV that she heard someone at the door. She thought it was her daughter, but when she opened the door, it was Ashley Sies.

Leece says the 31-year-old immediately went on the attack, wrapping her bra around the 61-year-old's neck.

"She choked me down and we fought for a good 15 to 20 minutes. Finally I saw one of my (ceramic) chickens on the floor so I picked it up and started bashing her on the head with it," Leece told the TV station. "I thought I was going to die that night."

Leece then called police who came and arrested Sies. Officers suspect she was on drugs.
