Wisdom HS locked down after report of gun on campus

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A report of a student bringing a gun to school prompted a lockdown at HISD's Wisdom High School.

Houston police say a 17-year-old student reportedly brought a gun to school, either to show off or sell. Another student informed the resource officer on campus that a gun was at the school.

Police searched the school, but didn't find a weapon, or the teen who reportedly brought the gun. Police say they know the identity of the student and are currently looking for him.

Officers believe the student is no longer on campus, and they have lifted the lockdown.
