HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Water has been restored at Hobby Airport after five hours without water.
A pipe burst Monday morning along Airport Boulevard, forcing airport officials to turn off the water for safety.
No flights were affected, but many describe conditions inside the airport as "nasty."
Airport officials passed out hand sanitizer and bottled water.
They used buckets of water to flush the toilets, and sinks were out.
"I'm like a picky restroom person so I passed up every toilet," said airline passenger, Stephanie Cuevas.
"I tried to use the restroom and that was a no go as well," said passenger, Dina Aitken. "So we're going to go home."
