Shoplifter caught on camera stuffing statues down his pants

RIVERSIDE, CA (KTRK) -- A store owner is looking for a man who stole two bronze statues last Sunday afternoon by stuffing them down his pants.

Surveillance video taken from the Ann-Tiques store in in Riverside, California shows the man scanning the store. When he realizes no one is looking, he proceeds to stuff both of the pricey items into his pants.

The man then made a quick exit, with no one noticed the strange bulge in his britches.

The two bronze antique sculptures are worth about $350 each, KCAL-TV reports.

The store owner says she had the security cameras installed three years ago because people kept stealing from her store. She's now hoping someone recognized the statue thief and turns him in to police.
