ROSENBERG, TX (KTRK) -- Veterinarian Bill Hester was in an exam room with a customer and her dog when he heard a loud crash.

"I heard a loud noise and just a 'boom' type noise, and just all of a sudden, the wall's pushing, I see the front of the car come through the door, and it pushed the whole walls in toward us."

Hester said a chair hit the customer in the back of the legs and pushed her against the exam table.

"She had to crawl on top of the counter," Hester said, "then we put her in the back room, put her down in the chair back there."

That woman was taken to the hospital but did not suffer serious injuries. She called her friend Rudy Reyes to pick up her dog, Clutch.

"She was talking, but I could tell she was in a lot of pain," Reyes said, "And when she first told me, I thought she was joking because this doesn't happen everyday."

According to Rosenberg Police, an elderly woman was driving the car that crashed into the vet clinic. She hit the gas instead of the brakes by accident as she tried to park. She will not face any criminal charges.

Hester is grateful no one was seriously hurt.

"Luckily, the good Lord was there to keep everybody out of the way of the vehicle," Hester said.
