Reaction captured on body cam
Hannah Secondi was confronted by officers after allegedly leaving her child in a hot car

OWASSO, OK -- A mother's frantic reaction after leaving her child in a hot car was captured on an officer's body cam, reports KJRH in Tulsa.

Her tearful reaction comes as a bystander incorrectly tells her that the child has died.

Police say the one-year-old girl was inside a van in an Walmart parking lot in Owasso, Oklahoma. Passers-by noticed and contacted police.

They also noticed one of the car doors lock and got the child out. She was covered in sweat by otherwise OK.

The child's mother, Hannah Secondi, was confronted by police in the store parking lot, with an officer's body cam capturing her reaction.

However, even after the officer assured Secondi that her child was alive, she continued to openly weep.

"Oh God. I can't believe I did that," she said. "Oh my God. My husband's going to kill me."

Secondi was jailed on a child neglect charge. Her bond has been set at $50,000.

The little girl's temperature is back under 100. She's now with her father.
