Vandals on crime spree shooting out car windows in SE Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Residents in one Houston neighborhood blamed a BB gun wielding vandal for shooting out their car windows.

The incidents started happening back in late October in the Beverly Hills subdivision on the southeast side. Belinda Arellano told Eyewitness News she's frustrated by the situation and wanted something done soon.

Arellano said at her house alone, two of their cars were damaged by BBs. Her husband's truck was damaged two days before his birthday, a few weeks ago.

"My neighbor's window got shot out. Two houses down, his truck got shot out," said Arellano. "At the end of the block, I seen a green van, his window was shot."

Arellano said security cameras captured the vandal's car. However, they could not read his license plates.

Eyewitness News reached out to the Houston Police Department to see if patrols would increase in the area. Our requests went unanswered.
