U of H students line up for game tickets
A sprawling line of U of H students eagerly awaits #HTownTakeover tickets.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- University of Houston students are out en masse, lining up to secure a ticket to next week's Advocare Texas Kickoff Classic against the University of Oklahoma.

The school's athletic department has secured 5,000 tickets for students to attend the highly anticipated matchup, which takes place on September 3 at NRG Stadium. Today, the school is distributing vouchers for tickets on a first-come, first-served basis that can be redeemed for tickets beginning Monday, August 29.

Unlike most ticket lines, however, the queue at U of H looks more like a party. Video provided to Eyewitness News shows students dancing, listening to music, playing games and socializing.

The Labor Day weekend contest pits American Conference and Peach Bowl Champion Houston Cougars against the Big 12 Champion Oklahoma Sooners.

Non-students can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster's website.
