HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two men are in the hospital after a drive-by shooting outside a northeast Houston store.

It happened around 10:10pm last night on the corner of East Crosstimbers at Curry.

Police say someone drove by the two men and opened fire. The victims, identified as Terrance Derrell Smith, 36, and Isaac Terrell King, 33, were both taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

Witnesses tell police the two men had gotten into an argument outside of the store and King threatened to kill Smith. Witnesses say King left the scene, returned with a pistol and shot Smith multiple times.

Another unidentified male at the location also opened fire, striking King in the head. That male is described as a black man, 25 to 30 years of age, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 165 pounds. He is still on the loose.

Anyone with information about the unidentified gunman is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

Charges in the case are still pending.
