LAKE CHARLES, LA (KTRK) -- Two Houston residents are accused of cheating in separate incidents at two Louisiana casinos.

Investigators say on July 25, Long B. Nguyen, 44, was playing mini-baccarat at a Lake Charles casino. The dealer reportedly waved off additional bets and began dealing cards.

Nguyen allegedly saw the chip on the winning hand and placed a $25 chip on the winning wager, resulting in a $1,000 payout.

Nguyen was arrested for cheating and swindling and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.

Then on July 27, Thu T. Vo, 41, of Houston was playing mini baccarat at a different casino in the Lake Charles area and allegedly did the same thing Nguyen did.

She was also arrested for cheating and swindling and booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.

If convicted, each faces up to five years in prison and/or up to a $2,000 fine.
