Truck fatally strikes pedestrian before crashing into utility pole in Crosby area
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities in the Crosby area say a speeding truck lost control Monday afternoon and crashed into a pedestrian, killing her.
Detectives say the woman was struck and killed while trying to cross the driveway of a fast food restaurant in in the 14000 block of Crosby Lynchburg.
Witnesses told investigators they saw the truck driver speeding down the road before he careened into the parking lot. The truck struck the woman and then crashed into a tree and utility pole.
A witness who spoke with the driver told Eyewitness News the driver thinks he suffered a seizure. However, investigators have not yet said what they believe caused the accident.
