Traveler accused of texting about bomb on flight to Dallas

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (KTRK) -- Police arrested a suspicious man after he was accused by a seatmate of texting about a bomb on board a Spirit Airlines flight.

Travelers were forced to sit on a tarmac in Fort Lauderdale for two hours while officers investigated the incident.

A passenger on board the Dallas-bound flight allegedly told a flight attendant he saw the passenger next to him texting about a bomb on the plane.

The flight was evacuated hours later, and the accused man was taken into custody.

Everyone else was able to get back on the plane and on their way to Dallas.

A variety of social media videos were posted during the ordeal, including a Facebook Live shot by a woman on board the flight.
