Thieves smash into northwest Houston money transfer business

Thieves smashed their way into a money order transfer service business in northwest Houston. It's not clear if they stole anything.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Thieves smashed their way into a money order transfer service business in northwest Houston.

It happened around 3:30am at Giros Mexico located in the 2200 block of Wirt Road near Hammerly.

Witnesses say they saw a Ford van with four adult males inside back into the business. The men then took off a short time later and abandoned the vehicle a few blocks away.

The manager of the store is still working to determine what was stolen, if anything.

Police are still investigating.
