Teen shot after going outside to investigate noise

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Investigators said a 16-year-old was shot in the hip early Monday morning in Houston.

The teen's grandfather said the young man heard a noise and went outside to investigate.

It happened at Edgebrook and Radio Road in southeast Houston.

He was shot in the hip but is expected to be okay.

Police are still looking for the shooter.
