CONROE, TX (KTRK) -- A teen driving his parents' car is accused of slamming into a neighbor's Conroe home, and taking off.

A family was sleeping in their house in the 1600 block of Gleneagle Drive on Wednesday when a loud crash woke them up. The homeowner went outside to see that someone has slammed into his house and cars parked in the driveway, scattering bricks and material across the property. Tire tracks were left through the yard.

A neighbor reported seeing a car speeding and then heard the crash. The witness was able to write down the license plate of the vehicle as it fled the scene.

Deputies went to the home of the vehicle's registered owner, where the owners said they loaned the car to their son. Deputies say the car had major front and rear damage, consistent with the crash scene.

Jose Mario Gazca, 19, was arrested for failure to stop and give information, and taken to the Montgomery County Jail.
