SUGAR LAND, TX (KTRK) -- The search is on for two suspects who jumped out of a vehicle and onto airport property in Sugar Land.

According to Sugar Land police, a license plate recognition camera caught the stolen truck near Highway 90 and Schlumberger. Police were able to track down the driver but when officers tried to pull him over, the driver kept going.

Police say the suspect crashed through a gate just north of the runway at the Sugar Land Regional Airport.

"At that time to Hispanic males jumped out of the truck and ran into the woods and we've been searching the area for about 45 minutes to an hour," said Doug Adolph, with the Sugar Land Police Department.

Police initially set up a perimeter around the airport to search for the two suspects. That search was called off late Tuesday.

As of now, the two suspects are still on the loose.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sugar Land Police Department.
