A manhunt in northeast Houston ended with the arrest of two pawn shop robbery suspects.

SkyEye HD over the scene when one of the suspects was found hiding a metal cabinet in the backyard of a home in the 3900 block of Wimberly. The search for the second suspect lasted about 40 minutes.

"I was coming out of the room and then I heard dog barking and then we saw the police running this way," said Leiana Lopez. "My grandma went outside and she saw the guy tied up. He was just telling the police cuss words."

Officers told Eyewitness News that suspect was seen swallowing some of the jewelry that was taken from the pawn shop.

The first suspect was caught after he was seen hiding behind a shed.

"To think there was someone hiding in the back of your house and not knowing if they have a weapon a gun, or can even hurt you," said Cindy Lozano.

Police say the two men went in to a nearby pawn shop, smashed a jewelry case and grabbed a number of items.

Both suspects are in custody. Charges are pending against them. Their names have not been released.

Lopez said this isn't the first time a suspect has hid in their backyard. Months ago, someone robbed the same pawn shop and hid in that very same spot.
